5 Ways To Get Your Spark Back


Have you ever felt like you lost your spark? Like your passion, energy, or charisma just packed their bags and left you dry? If you can relate to this, you are not alone. I have been there too, but I also know what it feels like to come alive again. In today's post, I'm sharing five tips to give you a jumpstart to feeling full and alive again.


1. Stop rehearsing the past.


Oftentimes, it isn't until we've journeyed so far offshore that we realise we missed a turn somewhere along the way. And in trying to retrace your steps, it's easy to get lost in a maze of undoing missteps. But what if this moment is an invitation to start afresh? Instead of rehearsing how you once were or what you used to do, release it. Release who you used to be and begin from the present you.


2. Resist the overthinking and move.


Starting again after you've lost your spark can be very tough. And you can spend so much time ruminating over the how rather than just going forward. If you're ready to get the spark back, just move. Don't hesitate or overcalculate how to get the spark back. Just move.


3. Revisit your passions.


What makes you excited?

Get up. Brush off and start doing one of those passions again. Start slowly if you must, simply begin again.


4. Embrace the great outdoors.


When you've been in a rut, it can feel like you've been dragging yourself through life. Get outside and let the wind brush against your skin. It will do wonders in making you feel better.


5. Go on dates... alone


Losing your spark can result from self-neglect. Ouch, I said it. You've been responsible, carried everything, hustled and bustled, but never took any time to be refreshed. It's time. Take yourself out and enjoy your own company.


It's common to lose your spark at some point in your life, but you can come alive again. Get up slowly, brush the dust off and move.
